Lejond Cavazos, former Ohio State DB, announces transfer destination

Lejond Cavazos has a new home. The former Ohio State defensive back has committed to North Carolina.
Cavazos announced his transfer pledge to the Tar Heels on his Twitter account.

Cavazos is originally from Seguin, Texas, and is used to playing away from home. Prior to 2 seasons in Columbus, he completed his high school career at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. A former 4-star prospect, Cavazos signed with Ohio State in the class of 2020 over offers from Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Texas A&M, USC and others.
Cavazos redshirted in 2020, appearing in 1 game. Last season, he played in 11 games, posting 8 tackles and 2 passes defended. Cavazos will be immediately eligible in 2022 with 3 remaining seasons.
Cavazos entered the NCAA transfer portal on April 4. Prior to visiting UNC, he visited Colorado.
